I am an FLS alumni and my experience there was a lot of fun throught the years. FLS helped me challenge myself and my teachers were very helpful and always there when I needed them. In fact, they are still offering their guidance now when I need it. They challenge me to do things I would have never thought I would be able to do or accomplish. Now I am a senior at Holy Family High School and when I graduate I plan to transfer to a University and follow my dream of becoming a social worker.

Sandy Meza, Class of 2010

I attended First Lutheran Christian School & Arts from preschool through 8th grade. First Lutheran has provided me a concrete foundation in math, reading, and all other subjects. It helped me make the right choices in life, and gave me strong organizational skills that brought me where I am at the moment. I am currently attending California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. The wonderful friendships that I had formed at this school are still going well. Everything I have learned at First Lutheran School carried me through Clark Magnet High School, a very rigorous school. Now I am pursuing my dream career, still using the skills I learned at First Lutheran.

Zachary Villanueva, Class of 2008

First Lutheran School gave me the foundation I needed to reach my goals – both in education and in my personal growth. The experience I had helped shape the person I am today and I am proud to be a FLS alumni. After leaving FLS I attended public schools where I was a part of all honors and AP classes. I later graduated from California Lutheran University (CLU). Today I am a successful LVN who loves to help others.

Nicole Cowan, Class of 2003

I attended First Lutheran Christian School since pre-school. I had an amazing experience learning and challenging myself with the guidance of my teachers. They encouraged me to be the best I can be and because of it, now that I am in high school, and able to take all challenges here and turn them into opportunities.

Adam Cowan, Class of 2013

I have been in both the private and public school systems, and have first-hand experienced both institutions. I can honestly say that none of the schools I have attended can compare. First Lutheran School & Arts has been my home, where I met some great friends that I still have to this day. It prepared me for my rigorous high school life by always challenging me and encouraging me to push my limits. Furthermore, the artistic programs at the school have truly allowed me to discover my artistic abilities and hone in on my skills. In high school, I was always in the top ten percent, and received both academic and artistic awards. All of these successes I attribute to the lessons and skills I learned while at First Lutheran School. Sending me there was one of the best things my parents ever did for me.
