“No matter your life journey, no matter your faith journey, you are welcome here.”
These simple words were repeated every time one pastor gathered together the congregation he served. I not only heard the words, but I could feel their power. We were designed to need one another – a genuine community/family – and each of us needs to fully belong as the person we are, and the person that God is helping to grow in us.
In our world it is critical to surround each child with adults who are ready to meet them where they are, and support their current life and faith journey. It is vital that each child can sense a welcome that is meant for them, and an environment that will unleash their hearts and minds for their future.
I am surrounded daily by students who are open to the wonders of our world and this life, and I dream that each one will be able to fully see God working through their lives.
